Our Beavers enjoyed a weekend of adventure in the annual District ‘Activity Day’. They got the chance to try many different activities including: archery, orienteering, crate staking, trampolining, cold cooking, nerf guns, crafts and tie-dying. Our Beavers took the water for a kayaking taster session, which was very popular and well attended. They all enjoyed themselves and did very well, especially as some had never been on the water before. To the surprise of some, they quickly learned the necessary skills and confidence, receiving praise from the instructors for their behaviour, enthusiasm and attentiveness.
The Scouts worked as teams, put their trust in one another and conquered their fears by taking part in high-ropes and crate-stacking activities. There was a twist though; it was at night!
